Eastern Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry

Your office environment is an integral part of a patient’s experience, and for kids the more fun that experience can be the better! But how do you get from your vision (or even lack thereof) to the completion of the ultimate child-centered experience? Our suggestion is to work with us! At Worlds of Wow we offer turnkey solutions to bring playful worlds to life. We have a seamless process that starts with the idea and initial design phases and ends with happy kids enjoying your space.

Our friends at Eastern Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry (EOPD) needed to update their decades-old space. While the office was clean and approachable, it was lacking the pizzaz and purpose that EOPD wanted to provide to its tiny patients. When kids go somewhere new, there’s a lot of uncertainty. It can be scary going to the dentist for the first time, and that’s the problem that we wanted to fix.

We thought of ways to help children be brave at the dentist’s office while creating an atmosphere that evokes feelings of calmness - pirates and water! Pirates are brave, and we saw an opportunity to create a fun themed environment around that. The office is close to East Carolina University, so there are plenty of kids who are already familiar with pirates being happy and brave through its mascot. We carried this theme throughout the office and added personal touches to different areas.

“The most exciting step for me was the concepting and design process -- I was impressed how the theme was not only creative and fun, but also purposeful!”

We finished building the space in September and EOPD has received raving reviews from their little critics. The staff has also been really energetic about the new space. With Halloween right around the corner, they’ll be wearing pirate and mermaid outfits to keep the experience going even during check-ups.

“We work with kids all day everyday--we hope this new space brings some fun and imagination. Coming to the dentist can be scary, it’s a lot less intimidating when you can pretend to be a brave pirate!”

While the project was just recently unveiled, EOPD feels like word of the office experience and care is spreading throughout the community.

“Our new playful space has definitely given us a unique edge in our area.”

We are happy to make this project a reality for EOPD, feel free to let us know if you’d like to talk and see if we can do the same for you and your clients.
